Girls+ Rock Ottawa
Challenge: As Girls+ Rock Ottawa expanded into gear lending and online music education, the organization needed a revamped Squarespace presence and a digital workshop offering that could deliver instrument tutorials and membership tiers without enterprise complexity.
Approach: Led the Squarespace site revamp from wireframes through launch — mapping site flows and GRO Academy member areas, aligning the build to the brand guide, selecting and managing the video hosting platform for multi-week instrument tutorial series, and designing GRO Academy membership pricing tiers from monthly musician plans through band and education-only options.
Outcome: A live digital music lessons offering on Squarespace with structured membership tiers, hosted tutorial content across keyboards, drums, guitar, and bass, and an upgraded site experience supporting GRO's evolution into a social enterprise.

MTN Bushfire
Challenge: MTN Bushfire needed a fresh, scalable program concept that could deepen artist collaboration and extend the festival brand beyond the main event.
Approach: Built out the CollaboNation concept in collaboration with founder Jiggs Thorne and the festival creative team — shaping the program design, narrative, and launch plan for a cross-artist collaboration platform.
Outcome: CollaboNation launched in 2021; the MTN Bushfire team has run and evolved the program since, with CollaboNation as a lasting pillar of the festival experience.
Challenge: Establish a digital presence worthy of a premier contemporary art gallery in Southern Africa.
Approach: Scoped, built, and iterated on the gallery site — shaping structure, visual direction, and the web experience around Yebo's artists and exhibitions.
Outcome: A live site that spotlights Yebo's unique contributions to Southern African culture and positions Yebo as a premier contemporary art gallery in Southern Africa.
Challenge: Dr. Grant Johl and the Pons family in eSwatini needed to bring Mabuda Farm Coffee to market with a credible brand, story, and digital presence rooted in farm heritage.
Approach: Digital and business advisory from late 2020 through late 2021 — brand positioning, go-to-market planning, and website strategy aligned to the farm-to-table coffee narrative.
Outcome: Mabuda Farm Coffee launched successfully and has remained a sustainable brand for more than five years.
Challenge: Give VOVCOF a web presence that tells the story of their work for orphans and vulnerable children in Vuvulane — soup kitchen, youth programmes, and community impact — and makes it easy for supporters to learn about and contribute.
Approach: Partnered with Mr. Khulekani Msweli to design and build vovcof.org — structuring the site around VOVCOF's vision, mission pillars, and timeline; implementing donation flows; and training the team to keep content current.
Outcome: A live foundation website that shares VOVCOF's community work with the world, supports online giving, and gives the team a site they can maintain themselves.
Challenge: Humans of Africa, a multimedia company focused on authentic African narratives, needed long-form stories that honoured real lives and shifted how audiences see the continent.
Approach: Authored in-depth profiles for the Humans of Africa platform — research, interviews, and narrative development for featured stories across the region.
Outcome: Published long-form pieces including Ntokozo (Zimbabwe), Grant (South Africa), and Khulekani (eSwatini), contributing to HOA’s mission of owning and diversifying Africa’s storytelling.
